Self Inventory

Inventory is all good until you find the mismatched parts, the old broken parts, and the outdated parts, right?? Absolutely. So what now?…Now its time for you to do the work.

Here’s a few ideas:

1. Focus On The Present

by focusing on the present as much as possible, you can minimize the worries and fears that lead to negative emotions.

2. Use Positive Language

it’s good to remind ourselves that our words are shaped by our thoughts, and the more we can look for positive things to say, the more positive our thoughts will become.

3. Accept When Things Aren’t Perfect

it can be difficult to let go of the need for perfection and control in your life, but sometimes it’s very liberating to simply accept that things will not always go the way you hoped, and that’s okay!

Remember, most things pass with time.

4.  Keep Learning

Develop a curiosity about the world around you, and the people in it. No matter what situation you’re in right now, there is always something we can learn from it. For me, this is traveling the world. My curiosity wheel is always turning, so this is important.

  1. Taking inventory is never easy…but oh is it worth it! It reminds me of Psalm 51:10 “Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me.” I ask God to search me…find the broken pieces and purge them! Great post!
